INTRO TO MOVEMENT PRACTICE WORKSHOP

An introductory workshop to experience the foundational concepts of Movement Practice. This workshop provides you with fresh tools to efficiently strengthen, lengthen and mobilize your physical body. Collectively, we will cover the basic conditioning methods of Movement Practice and develop an accessible movement sequence that exposes you to efficient ways of moving to and from the floor.

  • Objective – experience alternative physical conditioning methods and learn an accessible movement sequence.
  • Level – ideal for newbie movers and those curious about the practice – you work at your own pace and there is never any pressure to look or move like anyone else in the room! This is your time, space and practice.
  • 3 hour workshop (water breaks as necessary)
  • 8 – 15 people per workshop
  • Investment: R300 per person

CREATIVE FLOW WORKSHOP

A workshop focusing on moving through physical and mental blocks so as to tap into a feeling of creative flow. This workshop provides you with the tools and space to explore your movement capacity and individual expression by means of specific guided movement tasks. Collectively, we will move through a conditioning phase into a creative sequencing phase, culminating in a collaboratively built movement sequence.

  • Objective – experience your creative flow and break through any physical and/or mental blocks that have you stuck.
  • Level – ideal for newbie, regular and experienced movers – you work at your own pace and there is never any pressure to look or move like anyone else in the room! This is a creative practice where your individual way is celebrated and encouraged.
  • 3 hour workshop (water breaks as necessary)
  • 8 – 15 people per workshop
  • Investment: R300 per person
